goats might like jewelry

many of us experience S.A.D.—seasonal affective disorder. okay okay, it’s me. okay okay, it’s all the seasons. i’m kidding about the second part but i did wonder aloud this week if S.A.D. is a euphemism for being codependent with the sun.

the photo of dogs below is reminder to myself (and you?) that we are not the only ones experiencing consternation and that being dismayed and being adorable are not mutually exclusive. this sticker on the side of a mail box seems kind of silly today but when i first saw it i thought it poignant. have you tried smooching the atmosphere?

one of the byproducts of S.A.D. (for me) is feeling Meh / nihilistic. someone told me a while ago that nihilism is a sign of stress and this was a huge relief because i thought it was My Personal Character Flaw.

the edges don’t have to stay so sharp. we live in a world where Kevin Hart got Chris Rock a goat wearing gold jewelry to celebrate him being the G.O.A.T. when they went on tour together:

and finally, here’s a poem i like:

nothing is wrong!
