i don’t know how this mirror, leaned up against a big concrete wall behind a chain link fence in an empty lot beneath the s shuttle line, got there. the concrete’s opacity interrupted by this glass, light bouncing back. see yourself, see the sky..

i pass this configuration often, at different times of day, in different weathers. i passed it many times before i noticed it. a trick. it asks, what are you reflecting to the beings and environment around you at any given time? what is the possibility for light traveling alongside or in spite of the walls you live amidst?

Alexis Pauline Gumbs gifted me the phrase/idea of ‘the sun inside your chest’ recently.1 yesterday, hearing her speak of the inner radiance in each of us, i wonder, what are the conditions for this to be revealed? how do we reflect each other, remind each other that it’s there? can you experience your inner radiance, look for others’ ? and what would that mean for your days?

that’s that love. the speed of light. called forth. reverberation as bounce. the beaming insistent.

these walls you’ve built, carefully and diligently, do you need them, really?
